From FOMO for FOLO
I am sure about few things…
- Someone, Somewhere, right at this very moment, is enjoying life more than you.
- Someone, Somewhere, right at this very moment, is having better access to the right people than you.
- Someone, Somewhere, right at this very moment, is making more money than you.
- Someone, Somewhere, right at this very moment, is doing something more exciting than you.
- Someone, Somewhere, right at this very moment, is with better friends than you.
So, it’s no surprise that you are missing out on something…
Peace is somehow a tough job now. Joy is rare. Social media is important, and it thrives at connecting us — but it profits from amplifying emotions that are not required in the long run.
FOMO (fear of missing out) is funny. Why? Because everyone is missing out on something. What’s the cry for? It has always been there. It was at school, it was at university, it was in daily family affairs — and now it’s 24x7. This nerve-wrecking tool, we call smartphones have made us dumb. It’s so smart that it learns how to bring feeds to the top — that amplifies your FOMO.
The challenge is real, and the challenge is destructive. The desire to be loved by all, admiration for everything we say and do, being better than everyone in the world — in short, being in absolute control is taking away FOLO.
FOLO?
Yes, FOLO — Fun of Living Out.
Life never promised to be perfect. It’s supposed to be perfectly imperfect. Life is never about all. Life is all about Enough. What ‘fear of missing out’ when your living space, i.e. Earth is missing out at least 99.99999% of activities happening in the creation.
FOMO is for the insecure minds.
Life MUST not be wasted in counting on what we are missing out. Life must be lived out loud.
FOLO — Fun of Living Out is your mantra for today and tomorrow — and beyond!
