It’s an opinion, not a guarantee!

Now this is worth noting… Everyone has an opinion, but no one has a guarantee.

It’s up to you — what you make out of their opinion. I am sure, there were people who were convinced that Steve Jobs is just fooling around. I know of people who were very confident that Jinnah would fail. There were people who were betting for never-ending leadership for Nokia.

Let's make it personal.

We had teachers who were sure about our failure. But we also had teachers who are sure about our success. The fact is, in both the cases, it was their opinion. It’s was not a guarantee.

The question is, how will you take their opinion.

Others can share their experience and they can point out what doesn’t match their expectations. But it’s up to you to choose to care enough about their opinions.

My learning: Since no one is sure, since no one can guarantee what will work (and not work), all we can do is our best work under the give circumstances.

Do it with generosity and courage.
