Showing up Counts!

Some people show up when they need something.

Some people show up when they are needed.

Some people show up before they are needed — as they believe it will pay off later.

Some people show up simply because they can show up.

Some people show up to see what’s happening.

Some people show up because they were instructed to show up.

Some people show up because they have nothing else to do.

And even then, there are people who simply don’t show up.

Showing up is important.

  • Applying for a job,
  • Pitching to a client,
  • Proposing someone,
  • Solving interesting problems…

But then, when showing up is so important, why do so many people don’t show up. Why they wait until the last minute. Why we look at “not showing up” as a strategy and not as a shameful mistake.

Fear… What else.

Fear of being judged. It’s always easy to wait.

Closer deadline gives energy to mitigate fear with sense of urgency.

But it’s ok.

Showing up is not for everyone.

Showing up is for the leaders.

Showing up is for the ones who live without regrets and die with gratefulness.

Showing up is special.

Show up.
