Trust me there is so much important stuff out there, but we are too busy with urgent stuff. That next tweet, the very last status update, the most important share, 30 minutes before the flash sale is over.
There are important things to do…
· An article that is in your mind and you haven’t gotten around to writing,
· your regular health checkup,
· the first or the next gym trip,
· planning your child’s birthday, family dinner,
· 15 minutes to sit alone quietly,
· saying thank you to a friend or a sorry to a loved one…
but this can only be done when our obsession for urgent is tamed.
Urgent is vicious. The queue never ends. There’s always a next. And a next.
