What are you trying to discover in the interview?

Interviews… Behavioral interviews… technical interviews…. Psychometric interviews… competency-based interviews… and other few hundred types of interviews…

What are these interviews trying to judge?

What are they trying to find out?

What value are they adding?

I am not an expert at interviewing. In fact, looking at my track record, I should not even talk about interviewing 

But then, the privilege you get of having your blog is that you get to write what you think.

Here are few things that I think we must try to figure out in the next interview conversation. Let’s try. I am sure something magical will happen.

  • Ability to change his/her mind
  • Response to failure
  • Agility to learn new thing
  • Courage to take the lead / take the responsibility / take the blame
  • Care for the cause

All other questions are merely commentary. Chap… Chap… Chap…
